Freddie Child-Villers is a young photographer with a seasoned veteran’s understanding of what makes for good quality imagery and a newbies drive and passion to achieve it.
Ever adventurous and daring, reminiscent of the explorers of yesteryear, Freddie is constantly seeking out new photographic based challenges.
Be it shooting a high-end fashion shoot in the townships of Cape Town, drowning a woman in her own shoes for an ad campaign or, as with his latest adventure, driving his ever faithful Landy all the way to Namibia and back for a ten day long photographic expedition..
Even then, this was not enough for Freddie and his mate. They chose to make it more challenging and took about every back road and tiny detour track they could find.
I saw the GPS photos of the route before they left and most of the roads were barely visible even with the wonders of Google Earth and its super impressive zoom capabilities.
Not much more needs to be said about this trip, other than they returned smiling with who knows how many gigs of quality images and one very dirty Land Rover.
Other than that, the results speak for themselves..
One thing for sure though is that Freddie is not going to stop seeking and creating better and better images.
And I, for one, certainly never want him to!

I have been using Hasselblads for many years on many sorts of trips but at least the African wildlife aspect is new to me.
My favourite place, awesome pictures!
